Anthropology: A Beginner's Guide By Joy Hendry And Friend

In this illuminating journey of humankind, Joy Hendry and Simon Underdown reveal the origins from our varieties and the fabric of human culture with anthropological discipline. Through case studies and surprising discoveries, they fail to understand our human behaviors and beliefs, including the use of magic to justify bad luck and expose old ideas about "race" based on the latest genetic research. They even share what the bathroom tells us about our concept of the body and ourselves.

From our evolutionary ancestors, through our transit rituals, to our responses to globalization, Hendry & Andron presents the first step necessary to understand the world as an anthropologist, with all its diversity and common denominators.
